Supporting Growing Families with Progyny
Nasdaq implemented Progyny’s fertility and family building solution in 2020 to provide comprehensive support to U.S. employees and give a voice to those who may be impacted by infertility.
Mollie O’Brien, VP Head of Global Rewards at Nasdaq, was a key part of this recent partnership to bring these life-changing benefits to their employees. Her job is to curate a set of programs, both in compensation and benefits, that help people live their best lives at work and at home. For so many people that means building their family, and not everyone can do that on their own.
One in eight people are impacted by infertility, and often suffer in silence without the support they need to build their family. This is changing as more and more employers implement fertility benefits, and often as the result of an employee’s request. Over 65% of companies that have benefits, have done so because of employee demand.
Progyny is a key piece of Nasdaq’s comprehensive healthcare strategy. Progyny’s unique benefit design provides the physical, emotional, and financial support, while also ensuring equitable options for all employees, including LGBTQ+ individuals and single parents by choice. Nasdaq employees have access to the top network of fertility specialists and dedicated Progyny Patient Care Advocates (PCAs), who provide clinical guidance, education, and emotional support for each unique journey.

Nasdaq rolled out the benefit this year during National Infertility Awareness Week to raise awareness and amplify the message that they are supporting all those who may be struggling to build their families. Mollie and her team have received immediate positive feedback. Not only are they helping employees achieve their dreams to build a family, they have the support they need to stay focused and engaged at work too.
